With only 11 sleeps to go to the big day, the Christmas shopping window is getting shorter and the anti is upping for those of us who still have some names left to buy for on our lists. For the Wine Geek - some people like drinking wine and some people like history and sometimes these hobbies cross over. If you know these people then this book is the answer to your Christmas shopping prayers. Tracing the innovations that have accompanied this ancient art and science, Wine: A Graphic History is a great read for £15.99.
Gin fans will love this - Edinburgh Christmas Gin (£25) is truly one of a kind, filled with yule tide aromatics, frankincense and myrrh. The expert distillers at Edinburgh Gin have taken a different approach than the more traditional Christmas spiced gin. Nutmeg and ginger root form the warm spiced base, balanced by the heady aromatics from frankincense and myrrh, all framed by juniper.
A gift to impress (without the big price tag): if you need a gift to take with you for the Christmas table then this is it. This very lovely magnum, complete with wooden box, all for £20. A trip to New Zealand: Well not quite, but this is one of New Zealand's best exports. Do you know a white wine lover? Or more specifically a New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc lover?
